Stay information

We accept provisional bookings by phone, email, text message or in writing. Include your full name, street address, town, postcode, phone number, arrival date and approximate time, departure date and number of adults and children under 18. To secure a booking, we collect a deposit of approximately 50% of the rental price, or the full amount if agreed, payable within 3 calendar days. The balance is due by arrival. The security deposit and visitor tax are settled on arrival; metered energy charges are deducted from the deposit at departure. Enquiries are handled in order of receipt. The calendar is normally updated once a day.

Arrival between 14:00 and 18:00; departure around 09:30–10:00. Arrival and departure times for weekends and non-standard stays are agreed individually.

The standard refundable security deposit is €287. For New Year stays it is €41 per person, with a minimum of €410. After your stay it is returned to your bank account, less energy charges and any damage. Please return the cottage, outbuildings and outdoor equipment in the condition in which you received them.

The cottages and their outbuildings are non-smoking; open flames are prohibited indoors. Smoking at the outdoor seating areas is permitted with appropriate fire precautions. Please bring indoor footwear. Stays are self-catering and guests carry out the final cleaning. If cleaning is inadequate, €61 is deducted from the deposit.

Pets are not accepted automatically. An exception requires explicit advance agreement and is limited to small breeds belonging to returning guests with a good previous record. The supplement is €41 per week or €20 per weekend.

A cancellation received by text, email or in writing at least 180 days before arrival is free of charge. After that, the cancellation fee is the deposit already paid. No fee applies if you arrange replacement guests or we manage to rebook the dates. We recommend suitable cancellation insurance for illness or unexpected events; cover depends on the insurer.

Protect the property and equipment from damage and fire. Children must be supervised in the cottage and its surroundings. Under the original terms, the owner reserves the right to end a stay immediately without refunding unused payment if capacity or the declared guest count is exceeded, extra guests arrive without agreement, smoking or open-flame rules are broken, or a pet stays without permission. The original terms state that guests stay at their own risk and exclude liability for injury, damage to health or property, stolen luggage and losses caused by natural events. Suitable travel insurance is recommended; binding terms will be confirmed when you book.
